Overview
During a therapy session, Police Commissioner Zuckmaier is called to an operation. Mattock, an escaped convict, attacked a signal box and took hostages. He demands that a train be made available - and that the former police duo Zuckmaier and Schübel appear. It was Zuckmaier who put Mattock behind bars some time ago, and he is not particularly pleased to meet his ex-colleague Schübel. Because of him, his wife Sonja left him two years ago. Mattock wants to settle accounts and is apparently ready for anything. The police command has no other chance than to send Zuckmaier and Schübel onto the train in exchange for the hostages. A reckoning of life and death begins.
