Overview
In post-war Rome, Sergio, "the dark boy from Tor Marancio", dreams of excelling in boxing, but thanks to his punches he becomes a boss of the Roman crime scene. Having married a wealthy girl at a very young age, he starts a family, but cannot resist the call of a city that discovers the sweet life, among nightclubs, beautiful women and gambling. However, Rome changes rapidly, the boom, the building speculation, the social crisis of the 60s arrive, and the underworld itself is reorganized, more structured and less spontaneous. Sergio is overwhelmed by change, killed in an ambush that shatters his life and that of a world incapable of withstanding the impact of modernity.
