Overview
The aging actor of the rural theater, Jindřich Jerman, is being photographed for the program of the upcoming premiere, when the director invites him to tell him that he is no longer counting on him. It is an unexpected blow for Jerman. He is far from feeling ripe for retirement. The theater was his only love and he cannot imagine life without it. But Jerman gives up and tries to find a place in Prague through his old colleague and friend Kamila. He won't succeed there either. His younger friend Věra Rybová is immersed in her worries about the photography exhibition and has no understanding for Jerman. And she doesn't seem thrilled about the marriage proposal either...
