Overview
Jiří, a young surveyor, arrives at his first workplace and is looking for a master. He is surprised to discover that it is a woman, and a beautiful one at that. Karla Dolasová is energetic and fair to her girls. And because it's pouring down hard outside, Jiří is forced to sleep in her maringotka. The girls discover him there in the morning. They like the engineer, but he doesn't seem like much of a joke…. At the dance, Jiří is pulled into a circle by one of the girls - Olga Holečková. He returns with her from the party in a good mood to the hostel, where he is attacked by Olina's suitor, who beats him up. Olina runs away and Karel takes care of the wounded...
