Overview
Renzo and Lucia, namesakes of the two protagonists of The Betrothed who live on Lake Maggiore, decide to get married. But they get the ferry time to the station wrong and have to rush through everything, the ceremony, the banquet and the celebrations. They manage to take the train with the 80% wedding discount, but when they arrive in the capital he realizes that in his haste he has forgotten the money. He then seeks help from an old comrade, now rich, but without being able to achieve anything. Meanwhile she has to face the insistent court of an enterprising young man. In the end he finds himself at the Capanelle where he wins a horse as a prize, while she wants to go home alone. The adventures of the two newlyweds will have a happy ending only after a double arrest which will lead them to find themselves in a police station.
