In the summer of 2002, a concert of Zheng Lucheng's works drew people's attention from the concert scene to the Korean Peninsula in the 1820s. In Gwangju City, Jinronam Province, in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula under Japanese occupation, the young Zheng Lucheng, who was particularly sensitive and fond of music, gained the attention of Dr. An, a violinist in his hometown. Because Zheng Lucheng's eldest brother and eldest sister were both studying at the Whampoa Military Academy in China, the Japanese captured Zheng Lucheng's father, shot Zheng Lucheng's second brother, and destroyed Zheng Lucheng's family. His mother sent Zheng Lucheng to China to find his brother and sister. Zheng Lucheng came to China with a violin given by Dr. An. In Shanghai in 1937, Zheng Lucheng, who was already in his prime, participated in the patriotic anti-Japanese activities of Chinese youth and was threatened and persecuted by traitors. At the critical moment, Mulan, Jinzhu's good friend during her lifetime, rescued Zheng Lucheng and led Zheng Lucheng, who was eager for revenge, onto the revolutionary road of revenge. Zheng Lucheng followed Mulan to Yan'an, the revolutionary holy land that he had longed for. Unexpectedly, he would reunite with his mentor Dr. An again in Yan'an. Soon, the organization arranged for Zheng Lucheng to take over Dr. An's job and serve as the music director of China (Yan'an) Women's University.
