A fairy tale about a young yeoman's son, Jiří, who was recruited for the war with the Turks. He was looking forward to earning some gold and honors. In the war, the sultan once won, the prince the second time, and Jiří ended up trapped in the captivity of the Turkish sultan. He saw the king's beautiful daughter Maržana in the palace and immediately fell in love with her. When the Sultan went to war again, Jiří and Marjana fled home to Bohemia. They got married there. But the enraged sultan didn't want to leave it alone and went after them...
